"Have confidence in the Lord with all thy heart, and lean not upon thy own prudence. In all ways think on him, and he will direct thy steps."
Proverbs 3: 5-6
Welcome to the Kingdom Roots FAQ page! We're so glad you're interested in learning more about how we grow hope, health, and community—one garden at a time. Below you’ll find answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about our mission, our work, and how you can get involved.
Kingdom Roots is currently based out of Hanover, Pennsylvania, with a focus on serving residents of Southern York County. While our roots are local, our vision is far-reaching. We dream of expanding this mission of love, education, and sustainable community practices across the state—and one day, across the country!
Our belief is that everyone can benefit from access to fresh produce and hands-on learning. To begin, our initial focus is on elderly residents—particularly those on limited incomes. Providing them with garden resources not only supports healthier diets and tighter budgets, but also empowers them to share their wisdom and experiences with younger generations. Because let’s be honest—“A trip to Grandma’s” is where some of the best life lessons are learned!
Residents who are selected to receive a garden donation can choose from three turnkey garden options.
Each package includes:
A tool kit for working the garden

The resident’s choice of vegetables
The goal is to create a ready-to-grow garden—all residents need to do is water it and enjoy the harvest.
